What the front clip actually does
The lead attaches at the chest instead of between the shoulders. When your dog surges ahead, the line pulls their chest a few degrees back towards you and their momentum goes sideways instead of forward.
They are not corrected and they are not squeezed. The straps sit exactly where you set them whether the lead is slack or tight. All that changes is that pulling stops getting them anywhere, and dogs drop what does not work.
